Dr. Zhang was invited to give a lecture for the Governor’s STEM Scholars on Saturday, December 10 at Rowan University. This year, we have 129 Scholars from 20 of NJ’s counties. Roughly 85% of the Scholars are in high school with the remaining college students as shown in https://www.govstemscholars.com/scholars. Dr. Zhang shared his research activities at NJIT including the work related to harmful algal bloom mitigation, nanobubbles for agriculture, and reactive membrane systems for pollution removal. Students raised many interesting questions and eventually there were two students (one from NJIT) who applied to work with Zhang’s group in spring 2023 for undergraduate research.
