Meanwhile, involving in lab cleanup work is a great way to get familiar with the lab equipment/chemicals/surrounding and get to know the lab mates or interact with other group members who may work with each other in projects. The photo to the right shows two chemical engineering undergraduate students, Patrick McAleer, Matt Sosa and one chemistry student Willma Arias de la Rosa were led by a Civil Engineering master student, Maneela Reddy, to thoroughly clean up our labs 413, 414 and 411. Summer Research Internship kick-off
As we just started this summer research internship program, the first task for students on the first day was lab cleanup. Organizing lab stuff is a piece of art and requires delicate considerations and coordination with many other folks in the lab. For example, labeling or storing chemicals properly is critical for lab safety.
