Dear friends,
A M.S. or Ph.D. research assistant (RA) position is available to work with the Dr. Wen Zhang’s research group at NJIT with research areas of (1) Material characterization at the nanoscale using hybrid atomic force microscope (AFM); (2) Environmental behavior and interfacial processes for nanomaterials; (3) Novel catalytic processes for harnessing renewable energy and pollutant degradation; (4) Reactive electromagnetic induction membrane separation and distillation systems; (5) Catalytically reactive membrane filtration for emerging contaminant removal. More details are available on Zhang’s website: www.wenresearch.com.
Besides master or Ph.D. students, undergraduate students and high school students are welcome as interns or part-time research assistants. The RA student will work one of the projects below:
MW membrane Nanobubble generation ERM Filtration
The candidate should have research experiences in environmental or chemical engineering, material and colloidal science. Most importantly, a record of high-quality publications, competent writing skill and critical thinking are considered critical. The position is available immediately with an official start date of January 2021. The appointment will begin as soon as the student can arrive at NJIT for immediate research work, which will be compensated. Student applicants with a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate will receive a full tuition support, stipend, and benefits. Prospective students should also submit GRE, TOEFL (if non-native English speaker), and CV, a brief statement (1-2 pages) of career goals and research experience and contact information of three professional references to Wen Zhang. New Jersey Institute of Technology is an Affirmative Action/equal opportunity employer.
