Gaseous nanobubbles yield unique features of physochemical properties such as:

1.Longer retention time and high stability in water
2.Greater surface areas, negative surface charges
3.
Tendency to produce local heat and reactive radicals
4.Higher reaction rates, diffusion or mass transfer

Sep.2024:  Dr. Zhang’s team was awarded the 2024 USDA grant on nanobubble research

Sep.2024: New paper published on PFAS rejection in commercial reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) processes

Our research mainly focuses on the evaluation of gaseous nanobubbles in terms of colloidal stability, reactivity, and applications in environmental pollutant degradation, plant growth, biofilm prevention and removal, disinfection, harmful algal bloom mitigation, dental health.
