Two NJIT Research Groups Awarded as Part of $1.2M EPA P3 Program
This recent news (https://news.njit.edu/two-njit-research-groups-awarded-part-12m-epa-p3-program) described how my group has been dedicating to empower other faculty especially those junior faculty and enable interdisciplinary research collaborations. Besides this presented EPA P3 projects, I have demonstrated leadership and garnered a strong track record of securing funding from diverse sources and conducting research in environmental engineering and sustainable technologies:
- 2D MoS2-Based Field Effect Transistor Sensors for Airborne PFAS Detection
- Zirconium-Modified Mica Coupled with Nanobubbles for Enhanced Phosphorus Removal, Recovery, and Reuse
- Effective and Complete Decomposition of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Byproducts in Incineration
- Scalable 2D Semiconductor-Based Field-Effect Transistors for Rapid and Efficient Detection of Lead Ions
- Electrified Membrane System for Chemical-Free Nitrogen Recovery from Nitrate Contaminated Water
- Sustainable Recovery of Metals from Waste Lithium-Ion Batteries Through A Green Process
- MXene/Laser-Induced Graphene Coated Air Filters for Pilot-Scale Airborne Viral Removal at A Low Voltage
- Novel Mxene-Based Electrified Air Filtration for Enhanced Airborne Pathogen Removal
- Investigation of current practices and innovative solar panel recycling
- Mechanical removal of harmful algal bloom (HAB) in lakes using air micro-nano bubbles from a specialized floating platform
