Wanyi Fu, a third-year Ph.D. student in the John A. Reif, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, won a John J. Lagrosa Award from the NJ Water Environment Association (NJWEA).
The John J. Lagrosa Award provides incentives and motivation for Ph.D. students of high scholastic achievement to dedicate their professional or academic career to the field of Environmental Protection and Water Quality Control. Wanyi received this award at the NJWEA 103rd Annual Conference in Atlantic City.
A specialist in membrane technology, she focuses on novel antifouling membrane filtration technologies for water treatment. Wanyi also has worked with atomic force microscopy and AFM hybrid technologies for polymeric membrane characterization, although her research is designed to be widely applicable.
